Poppies make history as first rock band to play The Minor Theatre
The California Poppies made history Saturday night by being the first rock band to ever play at the historic Minor Theatre in Arcata, California. The theatre opened its doors in 1914 and has hosted legendary acts such as Harry Houdini as well as many vaudevillian greats. In the theatre's 100+ year history it had never seen a rock band until Saturday night. The event was to celebrate The California Poppies' debut music video, "Song of the Butterfly". It featured a making of documentary as well as a Q&A with the Poppies, director Griffin Loch, and actress Sabrina Sobel. Arcata will forever remember the night The California Poppies brought rock n' roll music to California's second oldest theatre!
